Orchestra and choir
Orchestra was founded in 1993 and is a small symphony orchestra. It is famous in Mogilev for its performances of concerts, symphonies and overtures by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Weber, Climenti, Onneger, Rota, Bortnansky, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Turenkov, Gorelova, Kondrusevich, 12 London symphonies by Haydn. Together with the choir it performed Schuetz "Symphoniae sacrae", Lasso cantata "Stabat Mater", Bach's cantatas, masses, oratory St. Matthew Passion, Handel cantata "Dixit Dominus", Mozarts "Kronungsmesse" and "Vesper", Haydn "Nelson mass", Monushko cantata "Madonna", opera by Purcell "Dido and Aneas", opera by Gluck "Orpheus", vocal-symphony poem by Atrashkevitch "Kachayu" and Matsievsky "Buelorussian mass".
Chamber choir was founded in 1989 and was the first to perform sacred music: ancient psalms, motets, cants, choral concerts composed by Titov, Degtyarev, Bortnansky, Arkhangelsky and liturgies by Tchaikovsky, Chesnokov, Grechaninov as well as choral works of Turishev, Bondarenko, Korizny, Kozhukhar, Podgaits and others. The choir participated in various festivals: republican G.Shirma festival of academic choirs, international festivals of sacred music "All Mighty God" in Mogilev, in Poland (Hainuvka, Barchevo), Bulgaria, Slovakia (Bardiev) , Germany (Wittenberg) and many times became a laureate. In the Petky festival in Bulgaria in 2005 their performance was highly appreciated. It had very successful tour in France, Poland and Germany where 2 CDs were recorded with Russian and Buelorussian sacred music and concert programs for the national radio.
